Oyster Bar & Restaurant

The Oyster Bar & Restaurant is within walking distance of the cottages. It overlooks the village square to the front and at the rear the seating looks across the Atlantic taking in views of the islands of Scarba and Jura – a superb vantage point.  See their website for opening times both in and out of season.

Dining in Oban

Oban is known as the Seafood capital of Scotland and there is plenty choice for dining out to suit every budget.
Eeusk on the main harbour is particularly good as well as The Waterfront Fishhouse as well as Coast and Cuan Mor on the High Street.

You can also buy fresh or cooked shellfish from the shops along the harbour.

Two of our favourite Restaurants are located on the other side of Oban, at Appin: The Old Inn is wonderful for steaks and has real atmosphere.  For the freshest seafood overlooking the Ferry to Lismore Island, The Pier House is a must visit.  We highly recommend taking the circular walk from The Pier House to work up an appetite.
